The Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography is conducting research organization of the State committee of natural resources of Ukraine. The institute carries out research works in sphere of a geodesy, cartography, remote sensing of the Earth, normative support of geodetic and mapping works; development and introduction of GIS systems, creation of a base set of geospatial data with different levels of details, creation of settlements` address registers and digital models of territory, generation of the mapping data bank on Ukraine’s territory, digital maps, creation and publishing of mapping and atlas production, unique office maps, interactive maps on CD and in Internet, creation of GIS systems and the mapping software for information retrieval systems, manage systems of territories and the enterprises.
In the institute cartographical and GIS resources of regions, areas and settlements are supported: digital maps of all areas of Ukraine, Kyiv, the regional centers, etc. are placed on web-servers.
The institute realizes the engineering-geodetic works, high-accuracy survey of engineering communications, topographical and land-cadastral survey for drawing up of a state property rights on real estate.
Besides on our WEB-portal yon can find the information about Technical Committee of Standardization ТК 103 work "the Geographical information / Geomatic" State administration of Ukraine, «the Bulletin of geodesy and cartography and cartography» journal, by the Ukrainian society of geodesists and cartographers.
